3.8L Girdled Turbo Buick V6 Stroker Short Block

We have available for the first time ever an all brand new short block assembly for the Turbo Buick Community!

It starts with one of our Brand New 109 SG1 blocks that is fully prepped in house by Bryan and Dave Weber.  We then install one of our all forged rotating assemblies to make one of the very best shortblocks you can get for these turbo cars.

The Block:

New GM cast iron 109 SG1 block.
Torque plate honed to 3.800” bore.
CNC machined for RJC girdle (we supply)
CNC stroker clearanced and oil passage sleeved.
Align honed with girdle installed for perfect main bores.
Detailed and washed for assembly.
Install Durabond cam bearings.

Rotating Assembly:

4340 Forged Steel 3.625” stroke crankshaft w/ Buick rod journals.
4340 Forged Steel H-Beam 5.967” Eagle Connecting Rods
Diamond Forged Pistons
Total Seal File Fitted rings
Performance rods and main bearings
Rods profiled to clear camshaft
Precision internally balanced 

Shortblock is then assembled in our clean room and is bagged and made ready for shipping or continued assembly in house if desired by buyer.

Compression ratio chart:

8.45:1 with stock deck (9.525") and .065 gasket and 46cc head
8.70:1 with 9.525 deck and .051 gaskets
8.89:1 with 9.525 deck and .040 gaskets
9.18:1 with 9.525 deck and .040 gaskets and 43cc head
9.49:1 with 9.525 deck and .040 gaskets w/ 40cc head

We can build these shortblocks in approximately four weeks depending on time of year and workload.

An added option below includes an installed new Weber billet roller camshaft kit.  This includes installing and degreeing the cam, setting the camshaft thrust, and installing a front cover with our A-Kit.  We will supply the front cover gasket.  You must provide us with your front cover to be machined (spotfaced) for use with our billet cams or select our new GM blueprinted and ported front cover.  If you supply us with your front cover, please include the associated bolts/studs as well.
